The Mega-Max Appliance Repair
‘Service Guarantee’ Terms and Condition
Mega-Max Appliance Repair aims to provide the best possible customer experience before, during, and after each appointment. We offer a 90-day ‘Service Guarantee’, up to a maximum amount of $750, on all in-home services booked through Miele USA Support.
GENERAL RULES REGARDING THE MEGA-MAX APPLIANCE REPAIR SERVICE GUARANTEE
Eligibility for Service Guarantee: The Service Guarantee is valid exclusively for the customer who purchased the service and whose name is on the appointment from which the Service Guarantee is being requested. The Service Guarantee is non-transferable if the device or product for which the Service Guarantee was requested is transferred to another individual or business.
Technician Response for Service Guarantee: Upon submitting a Service Guarantee request, the technician from the initial appointment will be dispatched to complete the guarantee service as well. A different technician will only be dispatched if the original technician cannot resolve the issue.
Use of Parts: Only new parts purchased by Mega-Max Appliance Repair or installed by a Mega-Max Appliance Repair technician are eligible for a Service Guarantee. Parts purchased by the customer, whether used or new and regardless of where the part was purchased, will void the Service Guarantee.
Service on RVs or Movable Houses: Mega-Max Appliance Repair does not provide service on recreational vehicles, including but not limited to motorhomes, campervans, coaches, caravans, and travel trailers. In the event that repair work was mistakenly performed on a recreational vehicle, the Service Guarantee will not apply to that work.
Moving or Transportation of Serviced Products: Any moving or transportation of a product serviced by Mega-Max Appliance Repair, whether within the same room or to another location, will void the Service Guarantee, as transportation may cause additional damage.
Service Performed by Another Technician: Any service performed by the customer or another technician or service company after the original service by Mega-Max Appliance Repair will void the Service Guarantee. This includes:
Do-it-yourself (DIY) repairs or attempts made by the customer after the initial service.
Repairs or work performed by another service company after Mega-Max Appliance Repair’s service.
Scope of Work for Service Guarantee: The Service Guarantee will only apply to the scope of work and the original failure reason from the initial service. If new issues arise that are unrelated to the original service, the Service Guarantee will not apply.
Improper Care or Use: The Service Guarantee does not apply to improper care or use of the appliance by the customer after the initial service. This includes:
Mishandling of the device that caused the reported problem.
Incorrect use of the appliance that causes damage.
Infestation: If the product shows signs of infestation (unusually large numbers of insects or animals), Mega-Max Appliance Repair may still perform the service, but no Service Guarantee will apply to the work performed.
Service Guarantee on Weather-Exposed Products: The Service Guarantee does not apply if the product is located in an area exposed to the elements or is in an area it was not designed for. This includes:
Products located in non-climate-controlled areas.
Products mounted or installed in areas not suitable for the appliance.
Manufacturer Defects: If the technician identifies the failure is due to a manufacturer defect, the Service Guarantee will not apply, regardless of the warranty status.
Cosmetic Damage: The Service Guarantee does not cover cosmetic damage caused to surrounding areas during the service (e.g., scratches on floors when moving a refrigerator).
Consumables and Refrigerant: The Service Guarantee does not cover the replacement of refrigerant unless the original failure was due to refrigerant depletion.
Inspection-Only Appointments: If Mega-Max Appliance Repair performs an inspection but the customer does not proceed with a repair, the Service Guarantee will not cover any damage caused or new issues created during the diagnostic process.
Tune-up and Cleaning Visits: The Service Guarantee does not apply to tune-up or cleaning visits, such as routine maintenance checks.
Unrelated Failures: The Service Guarantee does not apply to new failures occurring within the Service Guarantee window that are unrelated to the original issue.
Maintenance Recommendations: If continued functioning of the appliance requires following the technician’s maintenance recommendations, and the customer fails to follow them, the Service Guarantee will not apply.
Food Spoilage: The Service Guarantee does not apply to any food spoilage caused by Mega-Max Appliance Repair being unable to service the unit within a given timeframe or due to a failure of a serviced product.
Liability Limit: In cases where the Service Guarantee applies, Mega-Max Appliance Repair’s maximum liability shall be $750, regardless of whether any damage exceeds this amount.
Warranty and Service Guarantee Windows: Mega-Max Appliance Repair warranty plans (such as Appliance Protection, Systems Protection, etc.) have different guarantee windows for on-demand services and services filed as a warranty claim:
For service filed under warranty, the Service Guarantee window is 60 days.
For all other services performed outside of warranty claims, a 365-day Service Guarantee window applies.
